3 Mistakes that most people make when building out their own landing page that destroy conversions and how to fix them.

Landing pages are all about converting your traffic from socials and ads.
You may be doing straight-up sales conversions or want to grab your prospect's email address by using a lead magnet such as a free report, e-book, or even an excel spreadsheet they may find valuable.
These days it's a little more difficult to get that coveted email address because so many companies are offering free value.
A more skeptical prospect demands:
Content that is relevant to the ad they clicked on,
Value in exchange for their time and engagement.
Zero filler, get to the point quickly and give strong reasons why they should hand over their details.
If you nail your landing page, you'll build massive lists of leads that will become your future satisfied customers and subscribers.
Unfortunately, so many get this wrong, and here's why:
1. They mix up a landing page with their website homepage.
A homepage is your PR site, a place for people to learn about your business. Landing sites are a way for you to snipe new customers based on their interests/needs.
Fix: Don't tell your full story on your landing page. Keep it to ONE singular benefit or solution to a problem. Your aim is to offer some real value to your lead. This will pique their interest and get them to check out your website and other content by themselves.
2. The lead magnet/freebie they are giving out is garbage.
It either fails to capture the email because it's such trash or it leaves your lead with a bad taste in their mouth. When that happens, they'll smash that unsubscribe button and they will not come back.
Fix: It's gotta be as good as your paid content or even better. The idea you leave your lead with should be " If this free content is so good, I wonder what the paid stuff is like?!"
3. They don't provide a strong reason the prospect should give their details
Fix: Use the copywriting psychological triggers to motivate potential leads to give their details. e.g Scarcity, Authority or Social Proof like testimonials. Just make sure you are being authentic!
Apply these simple fixes to your landing page and watch your leads fly in.
